“Lich” (resident demon)
To my way of thinking, a really lame vampire movie is the best kind of movie.
This movie was so bad… it was truly horrific. Is it even technically a vampire movie? I don’t think it is actually, but it’s still awful, and I still watched it!
The basic plot is as follows:
“Three years ago a string of serial slayings ended, when the young woman behind them put herself to death while bathing in the blood of her victims. The woman’s sister pleaded with the authorities to take measures against the return of her sister’s spirit, claiming that her death had been a part of a ritualk to the Devil! The young girl was placed in a insane assylum, their home possessed, and her sister all but forgotten… untill now. The new owners of their house unwittingly release the long dead spirit, soon it’s leaping form body to body possessing, killing and feeding! As the numbers dwindle each person can only wonder, are you, you, or you… the LICH?”
BASICALLY. This house is haunted by a devil worshiping serial killer who killed herself, and the spirit has come back and is body-hopping around the house, killing other people.
Now, what is there to say about this film? Other than… my friends and I have made better movies on our camera phones, accidentally, while drunk.
The writing is a disaster.
There’s… just.. no atmosphere at all.
It looks like it was filmed on a handycam.
The “twists” are frustratingly obvious, and the characters painfully oblivious and wooden.
Towards the end, there’s a magic pendant suddenly thrown in, and the demon controlling corpses.
It was hillarious for the first little while. Then it got dull, fast. It stopped being so-dull-it’s-funny, to just being so dull, it’s DULL.
There was redeeming feature. The cat!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Pooflah. Yes, POOFLAH, the cat.
At one point (oh, warning, slight spoiler lmao), the demon posesses the cat. And when the others finally work this out there’s what I can only assume was ment to be a dramatic realisation when the cat’s owner shouts.. “Pooflah!”
The cat could have been called “fluffykin” and that scene would have been more dramatic.
Apart from the obvious amusement, “pooflah” sounds so.. fluffy and jokey. It’s like a joke cat name.
That was the only thing in the film worth writing about.
From now on, I’m going to referr to any very weak ‘dramatic’ scenes as pooflah’s.
At least Pooflah was kinda cute, the rest of the film was dire
