and a Happy Boxing Day.

The snow is still with us, and it was the first white chistmas we’ve had in a long time.
Bry got me a camera for christmas! So I took some festive photos.
first, a practice shot of the fireplace I took from the sofa..

He also got me this cute little professor layton:

I’m wearing him as a necklace right now. (I’ll never be without a puzzle again… oh dear. Maybe he’ll be a little good-luck charm and I’ll be able to solve all of life’s troubles.. :p)

We went outside to take more photos, I was quite excited about it since I love snow. I took the oppertunity to take some photos of the park looking pretty.

Christmas Dinner was huge and delicious, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. There was a three-bird roast, lots of types of stuffing and cranberry sauce and all the usual favourites, it was very impressive. We will have leftovers tonight. Mmm.

Last sunday, I ran a Lolita fashion meetup here in Glasgow. I was a little worried about it, since last time I did this only two of us turned up. But there has been a lot of new interest, and others who may not have known about the last one.
On the way into town, I stopped to take a photo of the snow.

I was in town on time, and met a lovely loli who was already waiting. Eventually our group assembled, and there were five of us! FIVE. Thats more than twice the number we had last time! It was exciting.

We thought more decorations would make the little tree look less pathetic, and stole some from the bigger trees to decorate it with.

It looked more like a real christmas tree after that.

We went inside for lunch, and I had to be that annoying person that asks the waitress to take a photo of us all. I hate being that person! But it had to be done haha.

After lunch we went to the Candy Store, where they have these very flattering mirrors! (or not. lol!)
However, there were some very cute cakes.


Also this guy, who I wouldn’t describe as cute, but deffinately has his own charms?

It gets dark so early in winter, but we got this group photo just before heading our seperate ways.
It was a fun afternoon! I’m looking forward to next time already

and I slipped on the ice! It was sore, loud and not at all elegant.
However, I did end up with a very loli injury since I landed on my sleeve:

That, is the imprint of lace bruised onto my hand!

Black and white isn’t a very popular combo in Lolita fashion these days, but I still like it.

My frilly high collar, and the embroidered perfume bottle on the cardigan make this outfit.

wearing your favourite colour all the time can get boring. So here’s some blue and purple. A lot of people think purple or blue suit me better and look nicer on me than red, but the sad truth is that I like red more anyway.

I dont wear this metamorphose skirt very much, because it’s pruple. But I like it with that jacket. Maybe it will get more outings next year.

Lunch time!

It was an odd circumstance that while I was in Japan I had almost no opportunity to dress in japanese fashion, but sometimes circumstances just aren’t right.
However, now that I’m home I’m getting back into the swing of getting all dolled up to go out for the day!

I don’t take photos as often as I should but here are

my Gothic and Lolita outfits of times since past.

“Gothic Lolita” is a subculture fashion that originated in Japan, and is influenced and aims to imitate victorian clothing, and the image of fairy tales and elegance.
I took an interest in this fashion since I’d always been interested in vintage and victorian styles. Old fashioned clothes are so interesting.

I’ve put together a lot of these outfits over time for various events, or just out of my own interest!

My new years resolution has been to be to take more pictures.
